How Much Does a Business Website Cost? 2026 Guide

Website pricing is often difficult to compare because every project has different requirements. Here are realistic budget ranges to help you understand what to expect.

Website pricing can be confusing — here is some clarity

A ₹10,000 website and a ₹2,00,000 website can both be described as "business websites" from the outside, but the scope, functionality, technology, and work involved can be completely different. The final cost depends on what you need, how it is built, and who is building it.

Typical website costs in India — 2026

Across Indian agencies and freelancers, prices for the same type of project can vary widely depending on experience, location, and what is actually included. As a general guide, landing pages can range from around ₹5,000 to ₹25,000 or more, small business websites often fall between ₹20,000 and ₹1,00,000+ depending on the agency, and fuller business websites with a CMS, blog, and SEO foundation commonly range from ₹30,000 to ₹1,50,000 or more. Custom web applications — accounts, dashboards, integrations — usually start well above ₹1,00,000 and can run into several lakhs depending on complexity.

These are broad market patterns, not a promise of what any specific provider — including us — will charge you. Scope, technology choices, and design requirements all move the number significantly.

Typical AwnOps project ranges

These are our own typical project ranges, not fixed packages. Your final quote depends on the actual scope, features, content, integrations, design requirements, and SEO needs.

Website typeTypical scopeAwnOps project range

Landing page1 page₹7,000 – ₹20,000
Small business website5–8 pages₹20,000 – ₹60,000
Business / company website8–15 pages, blog/CMS, SEO foundation₹50,000 – ₹1,20,000
E-commerce websiteStore, product catalogue, cart, checkout, payment integration₹60,000 – ₹1,50,000+
Custom web applicationAccounts, dashboards, integrations, payments₹1,20,000+

Custom web applications vary the most of any category — final pricing depends heavily on features, user roles, backend complexity, and any third-party services you need to integrate. The ₹1,20,000+ starting point applies to simpler custom builds; more complex applications can cost substantially more.

> International clients: International projects are quoted in USD, but AwnOps does not charge more simply because a client is outside India. For the same scope and requirements, we use the same project price regardless of where the client is located. No geo-pricing. No location-based markup. Any separate fees charged by banks, payment providers, or currency-conversion services are outside the AwnOps project price. Get a free quote →

> Please note: Domain registration and web hosting are not included in website prices. These are separate annual costs. As a general estimate, a domain may cost around ₹800–₹2,000/year and hosting around ₹3,000–₹10,000/year, depending on the provider, plan, and your requirements. We will always tell you exactly what you need before you spend anything.

Landing page (single page)

A landing page is one page designed to do one thing — get someone to sign up, buy, or contact you.

Best for: New businesses testing an idea, product launches, or event promotions.

Small business website (5–8 pages)

This is the most common type — a home page, services page, about page, contact page, and a few others.

Best for: Restaurants, clinics, local service providers, professional services, and consultants.

Business / company website (8–15 pages, blog/CMS, SEO foundation)

A fuller website with a blog, SEO foundation, and content management so you can update it yourself. More pages and more content mean more work than a basic small business site — the price range reflects that scope, not unlimited pages or ongoing SEO work.

Best for: Startups, SaaS companies, agencies, and businesses that want to rank on Google.

E-commerce website

A website designed to sell products or services online, with features such as a product catalogue, a shopping cart, checkout, payment integration, and basic store management. We can integrate your chosen payment gateway into the website. The merchant/payment account, transaction fees, and any provider-specific charges are handled directly by you with the payment provider.

Best for: Retail businesses, online brands, startups, and businesses moving from offline to online sales.

Custom web application

A website with special features that go beyond a standard store — user accounts, dashboards, booking systems, automation, or custom workflows built around how your business actually operates.

Best for: Platforms, SaaS products, and businesses with specific workflow needs that off-the-shelf solutions cannot handle.

How AwnOps builds websites

AwnOps focuses on custom website and web application development rather than template-based website packages. Projects are built around your specific requirements, with the technology selected based on the project's requirements, functionality, scalability, and budget. For e-commerce and custom applications, the final scope and technology stack are agreed upon before development begins.

Custom development does not mean unlimited features or revisions. The final price is based on the agreed project scope and requirements.

What makes a website cost more?

These are the things that push the price up:

  • Custom design — a unique design created specifically for your business generally requires more design and development work than a template-based approach
  • More pages — each page takes time to design and build
  • Special features — contact forms are simple; booking systems and payment gateways take more time
  • SEO setup — doing this properly takes extra effort, but it can support long-term visibility
  • Content writing — if you need someone to write your text, that is an added cost
  • Revisions — additional design or development revisions can increase the project scope and cost
  • Third-party integrations — payment gateways, booking systems, CRMs, email platforms, and analytics all add development effort
  • Advanced functionality — user accounts, dashboards, automation, search, filtering, or custom workflows require more development and testing

What makes a website more affordable?

  • Providing your own content (text and images ready to use)
  • Starting with fewer pages and adding more later
  • Having a clear brief so the team does not spend time guessing what you need
  • Choosing a provider with a clear scope, process, and pricing structure — this helps avoid unnecessary costs later

Why the cheapest option can cost more in the long run

Price is important, but the lowest quote is not always the lowest total cost.

A website built without sufficient testing, performance work, or ongoing maintenance may develop problems after launch — mobile layout issues, broken forms, outdated dependencies, or slow-loading pages. Fixing those problems later can cost more than addressing them during the original build.

The goal is not to find the cheapest website possible. It is to find the right website for your budget, requirements, and long-term goals.

What does AwnOps charge?

Every project is different, so we don't use one-size-fits-all packages for custom work. We review your requirements, define the scope, and provide a clear quote before development begins.

No surprise charges. No unexplained hourly estimates. No costs you didn't agree to upfront.

What is included in an AwnOps website?

Depending on the project and agreed scope, an AwnOps website can include:

  • Responsive website development
  • Structured QA and testing before launch
  • Mobile and cross-browser checks
  • Basic technical SEO setup
  • Performance optimisation
  • Contact forms and essential integrations
  • Deployment and launch support
  • Clear project scope and pricing
  • Guidance for first-time website owners

The exact deliverables are defined in your project scope before development begins. Anything outside the agreed scope is discussed and quoted separately before work begins.

First time building a website or starting an online business?

That is completely fine. We work with clients who are doing this for the first time — including e-commerce store owners who are new to selling online. We do not just build your website and disappear. We take the time to explain what you need, why it matters, and what to do next. Think of us as a team that is genuinely on your side, not just completing a task.

What isn't included in the base price

To keep pricing clear and avoid surprises, a few things are typically outside the project price and quoted separately when relevant:

  • Domain registration and web hosting
  • Paid third-party subscriptions and service fees (booking tools, CRMs, email platforms, payment providers, and similar)
  • Premium plugins, themes, or licensed assets
  • Copywriting, if you want us to write your content rather than provide it yourself
  • Product/catalogue data entry — adding large numbers of products, images, descriptions, variants, and other catalogue data is quoted separately when applicable
  • Ongoing SEO work beyond the initial technical foundation
  • Additional rounds of revisions beyond what's agreed for your project, and major scope changes requested after the design or build has been approved

We will always flag anything like this before it affects your quote — no charges you did not agree to upfront.

Tell us what you need and we will get back to you with the next steps and a clear estimate — usually within one business day.
